Yoga Nidra
It’s time to relax and restore.
If you enjoy savasana (where you lie down) the most after your yoga practice, then you’ll love Yoga Nidra.
Practicing Yoga Nidra involves nothing but your breath. You lie down on your yoga mat (and I heavily encourage the use of all the props to support you), settle into a comfortable position, and listen to my cues.
It’s both a practice and a state of mind.
It literally means ‘Yogic Sleep’.
The practice takes you through a set of techniques that mimic the brainwave functions when you sleep.
The idea with Nidra is to find the place between being awake and being asleep. It’s an incredibly restful practice, similar to meditation but with the invitation to just… let go. And give yourself permission to do nothing.
